On 5 February 2025 at 3 p.m. in the ECOSOC Chamber, the CEIRPP will organize its first annual meeting to elect its Bureau and adopt its annual Programme of Work.

As customary, the Secretary-General participates in the meeting and will preside over the election of the Bureau. Following the election, the new Bureau will hold press briefing outside the ECOSOC chamber.

The meeting will hear a briefing by Mr. Michael Fakhri, UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food and by Mr. Hani Almadhoun, Co-Founder of Gaza Soup Kitchen.

The meeting will be live streamed on UN Web TV.
